Kihniö Comprehensive School's Rules of Conduct and Order

 Common

  • I behave kindly and politely.
  • I don't accept bullying.
  • I take care of the school's common property.
  • Candy, soft drinks, toys and money are only allowed during the school day with the teacher's permission in exceptional cases.
  • I comply with Finnish law.

 In dining

  • I leave my outerwear and hats on the hanger.
  • I wash my hands before eating.
  • I only take as much food as I eat.
  • I behave calmly and politely both in line and at the dinner table.
  • I don't use a cell phone.
  • I follow the given schedules and instructions.
  • Thank you for the food.

 In class

  • I arrive to class on time, with the necessary study materials and completed the assigned tasks.
  • I leave my outerwear and hats on the hanger.
  • I give others peace of mind and ask for the floor by referring.
  • I listen to the teacher, the instructor, and other students.
  • I will follow the instructions I receive.
  • I keep my phone in my school bag on the floor, and I only take it out after getting permission from the teacher. The phone is on silent.

In the yard and during recess

  • I'll stay in the break area.
  • I will enter the sports park after receiving permission from the supervisor, observing safety precautions; the parking lot is not a break area.
  • Everyone is allowed to participate in games and activities.
  • I return the games and play equipment to their places and keep the break area tidy.
  • I wear a helmet when I scooter and I scooter in the designated area.
  • Throwing snowballs is only allowed at the ball wall.
  • Middle school students are only allowed to use their phones outside during lunch break.

 In the school's public areas

  • I take care of the general well-being and keep the places clean.
  • I move calmly by walking.

In absence

  • A student must participate in basic education unless he/she has: in advance granted an exemption approved by a teacher or principal (e.g. doctor's visits).
  • Illnesses are reported in Wilma. The absence is noted by the guardian no later than the morning of the day of absence.
  • A guardian can request permission from the class teacher or supervisor for a maximum of three days of absence using the Wilma form.
  • Absences of more than three days must be requested by the guardian from the principal using the Wilma form.
