School youth work

A school youth worker is present and supportive in the everyday life of young people at school. The school youth worker meets young people during the school day, participates in group activities, breaks, and acts as a professional with young people, school adults, parents, and those working with young people.

A school youth worker is a safe adult for young people who has time in the midst of a busy school day. The most important task is to be a trustworthy adult for young people, who is on their side and acts as a connection between young people and staff.

The school youth worker's space is located upstairs in the school and the door is open to young people. Young people can come to the space alone or together, to visit, hang out, or if they just want a place to breathe.
