Young people

In Kihniö, young people are offered activities organized by the municipality, parishes and various associations.

The goal of youth work in Kihniö is to organize activities and events for young people that are youth-oriented and in which young people can influence.

Youth space

Open mainly on Fridays from 19pm to 22pm. Other times will be announced separately on social media. The space is intended for everyone aged 13 to 17.

Outreach youth work

Offers voluntary and personal help and support to young people under the age of 29 in various life situations, as well as guidance on the services available to young people. 

Youth council

The Youth Council is a statutory youth advocacy body whose task is to bring young people's opinions and ideas to the fore in municipal decision-making. It acts as a link between municipal decision-makers and young people and organizes events and other activities for young people.

School youth work

A school youth worker is present and supportive in the everyday life of young people at school. The school youth worker meets young people during the school day, participates in group activities, breaks, and acts as a professional with young people, school adults, parents, and those working with young people.
