Kihniö is a small and lively place where life is pleasantly uncomplicated. In Kihniö, tourists will find both a magnificent sandy beach and trout rapids, as well as the magnificent Käskyvuori mountain with its viewpoints.
Kihniö is located in the ridge area of southern Suomenselkä. The nature of the Suomenselkä watershed area is rugged and wilderness-like. Kihniö is characterized by quietly beautiful forests, swamps, ridge formations and dozens of lakes full of fish. It is said that there are one lake in Kihniö for every week of the year - that is, 52 water areas that can be counted as lakes.
