Collections

The library's diverse collection includes both new and older fiction and non-fiction for adults, children and young people. In addition to books, the collections include newspapers and magazines, films, music, sheet music, board games and PlayStation games, as well as a seasonally changing collection of sports equipment, such as kick scooters and snowshoes.

In June 2024, Kihniö Library will have approximately

• 470 DVD movies
• 730 music CDs

The magazine selection includes 38 magazines for adults and two for young people, as well as seven newspapers.

E-books, audiobooks and digital magazines can be found in the E-library produced by the National Library and public libraries., which can be accessed via an application downloaded from the app store. The first time you register for the service, you must use strong authentication. Library staff will provide guidance on using the E-library and registering, if necessary.

Movies and videos are offered Cineast.fi, medici.tv ja Elonets. Naxos offers music from different cultures and rockway online courses in playing and singing. These services are available through the PIKI online library.
