Remote work space

The library's researcher's room is a free and peaceful workspace for remote work, studying and taking care of business. The space is suitable for residents, students, leisure residents and tourists who need peace of mind and a functional work environment during the workday.

LOCATION AND OPENING HOURS

The library's researcher's room is located in Kihniö Library at Kihniöntie 44. The library is a short walk from the gym, shop, lunch restaurant and pharmacy.

The space is available during the self-service library's opening hours: Sun-Thu 7 am-21 pm and Fri-Sat 7 am-18 pm.

Staff is available: Mon and Thu 13-19pm, Fri 10am-15pm, and on the eve of public holidays 10am-15pm.

Access through the front doors requires a PIKI library card when staff are not present. The library card application can be completed electronically on the PIKI libraries website, and the card can be collected when staff are present. Collect the study key when staff are present.

BOOKING

Use of the researcher's room requires a reservation. Reservations are primarily made by email to kirjasto@kihnio.fi. When customer service is open, it is also possible to reserve a room by phone at tel. 044 7541 247 or by visiting the library counter.

FACILITIES AND WORKPLACES

The researcher's room is a separate study room suitable for quiet individual work, remote meetings, and work that requires concentration.

The comfortably furnished room has a desk, chair, computer and basic facilities for remote work. There is also an ergonomic ball chair. If necessary, it is possible to book another room in the library for meetings and negotiations.

Wireless internet access and the library's printing and scanning facilities (for a fee) are available. The library's kitchen area's refrigerator and microwave can be used when staff are present. In addition, customers can use the library's toilet facilities.
