At its meeting on 2 February 2026, the Kihniö Municipal Board decided, under Section 19, to make the preparatory material for the Närhinkangas wind power sub-plan available for viewing.
A legally binding partial master plan is being prepared for the Närhinkangas area, which can be used as a basis for a construction permit for wind turbines. The draft plan allows for the construction of a maximum of four wind turbines. The total height of the turbines is a maximum of 300 meters. The planning area is approximately 330 hectares and is located approximately 10 kilometers southeast of the center of Kihniö.
