Environmental protection

Environmental Protection is responsible for the duties of the municipal environmental protection authority, which are provided for in the Environmental Protection Act, the Waste Act, the Water Management Act, the Water Act, the Off-Road Traffic Act and the Water Traffic Act. These duties are mainly licensing and supervisory authority duties.

Laws regulating environmental protection are supplemented by local environmental protection regulations.

You can see pending and approved (available for viewing) environmental permits, soil permits, decisions on activities subject to notification under Section 115 of the Environmental Protection Act, noise notifications and matters under the Off-Road Traffic Act on the city's official notice board.
