Myyräkankaa wind power project
Fortum Corporation is planning a wind farm in the Virtai and Kihniö municipalities. The project area is approximately 4050 ha. According to current plans, a maximum of 29 wind turbines with a unit capacity of 7–10 MW are planned for the area, with a total height of up to 300 meters. The EIA procedure is intended to proceed simultaneously with the partial master planning of the area.

Lylyharju wind power project
Ilmatar Lylyharju Oy, the company responsible for the project, is planning a wind power project in the Lylyharju area. The construction of a maximum of 16 new wind turbines is planned for the project area. The project is located on the border of Pirkanmaa and South Ostrobothnia in the areas of Kihniö, Kurikka and Parkano municipalities. The total height of the planned turbines is a maximum of 290 meters. The size of the project area is approximately 2500 hectares. The wind power project is located mainly on private landowners' land.

Mänperi wind power project
Mäntyperän Energiapuisto Oy's goal is to implement a wind power area with a maximum of three wind power plants in the Mäntyperän area of Kihniö municipality, with a total capacity of up to 24 MW. The power plants will have a maximum unit capacity of 8 MW.
