Zoning
A town plan is a detailed plan for what will be built in an area and how the area will otherwise be used. The municipality is responsible for town planning in its own area and the town plan is approved by the municipal council.
You can influence the local planning process by submitting an initiative on the planning process and submitting an opinion on the plan under preparation. If the plan proposal affects a resident's living or working life, they have the right to submit a written complaint about the plan proposal on display. They have the right to file a municipal appeal against the decision to confirm the plan.
Beach station plan
A landowner may have a waterfront zoning plan prepared for the waterfront area they own. Anyone whose circumstances or interests are affected by the waterfront zoning plan has the right to participate in the planning process.
In general, it is not permitted to build on the shoreline of a water body without a shoreline plan or a general plan that has been separately determined to be a valid basis for a building permit. Repair and extension construction also requires compliance with the plan.
