From a holiday home to a permanent one
You are welcome to use the services of the Kihniö municipality and enjoy the nature of Kihniö permanently. The holiday home can be converted into year-round living.
Change of use permit documents and instructions:
Municipal technical office.
The change in use brings obligations to the municipality, such as private road subsidies, home care services for the elderly and school transportation, as well as possible requirements for water supply and sewage.
Converting a holiday home into a permanent residence
Requirements for change of use:
- plot area requirement of at least 2000 m2
- good road connections
- permanent settlement nearby
- supports the village community
- sufficient good quality domestic water
- wastewater drainage, absorption field and closed pit or small treatment plant for toilet water
- does not cause any utility costs for the municipality
- requirements according to building regulations
