The motion for a resolution was adopted unanimously.
Two minutes reviewers will be elected. In accordance with the agreed practice, the reviewers will be Johanna Lintula and Kirsti Nieminen. The minutes will be reviewed on February 14, 2024 and will be available for viewing on February 15, 2024 on the municipal information network.
Kirsti Nieminen was absent and Johanna Lintula participated in the meeting remotely. Erkki Välimäki and Kosti Kuusisto were elected as the minutes reviewers.
The motion for a resolution was adopted unanimously.
THL is asking municipal councils for the elderly to respond to a survey that will map development needs and means to promote the well-being and health of the elderly, their functional ability, their ability to cope at home, and support caregivers. The information collected will be used in the preparation of the health promotion funding application.
Petteri Orpo's government program states that the municipal health promotion budget will be increased and allocated to supporting the functional capacity of older people, coping at home, and caregivers. The state's health promotion budget will support pilot and development projects in health promotion. The budget can be used to grant state grants to organizations, foundations, municipalities, and other actors.
Responses are requested by February 16, 2024.
The Council for the Elderly and Disabled will provide a joint response to the survey and hold a discussion on the topic.
